Todays Lesson: Basic Principles In The Octagon

Hanshi Buchan explores the basic principles of the Octagon. Hanshi discusses how to avoid body mass and how to understand the concepts of creating a controlled environment between you and the attacker. The clips are bits and pieces of instruction taken from several videos.

The video is meant to expand the thought process of the practitioner and bring the awareness level closer to understanding of motion and movement rather than just utilizing techniques. For this reason tecneques are not used in this video.

The Video's: shot on location out side the Hombu Dojo in Ontario Canada. Assisting Hanshi Buchan is Sensei Garrett Magill - a student at the International black belt dojo.
